| Description | This course provides a historical and philosophical overview of the American criminal justice system, including the nature, extent, and impact of crime; criminal law; and justice agencies and processes. | ||||||||

| Attendance Policy | Regular prompt attendance is required. No one will be allowed in to the class 15 minutes after the class starts. Coming in late to class is disruptive, in addition to reducing your grade, you will also be required to take the 1st available seat in the classroom. A student with 3 or more absences may be dropped from the class. Excessive absences will result in reduced grades and/or failure. | ||||||||
